Kinesiology

Hello, I’m Joanne Dunn, and I’ve been practising Kinesiology in South Bristol for over 15 years.
My own journey with Kinesiology began when I was 19 and struggling with a serious sugar addiction. Experiencing how quickly and naturally my health transformed was a turning point. I was amazed by the power of this work, and before long I found myself diving deeper, training regularly, and feeling completely at home within this approach to wellbeing.

I completed my professional qualification in London in 2013 and have been running my practice ever since, alongside raising my family. I’m a mum to three beautiful children, and I’m incredibly grateful to have Kinesiology as part of our everyday life. It has supported them to grow into healthy, confident, thriving young people – and it continues to be a source of strength and understanding for all of us.

How can Kinesiology help?

In every session it's my role to look beyond the symptoms and fully investigate what factors are causing any dis-ease or imbalance. This will include:

Mental - thoughts, feelings and beliefs, trauma, lifestyle

Chemical - diet, environment, supplementation

Physical - injuries, operations, lifestyle

Energetical - chakras, meridians, aura, electro magnetic influence

Many of my clients find a kinesiology balance excellent for improving their mental heatlh and wellbeing. Clients also come to be to address a wide range of concerns, including:

• Digestive and hormonal imbalances
• Headaches and migraines
• Skin conditions
• Pain
• Anxiety and stress
• General “something feels off” check-ins

Some have been with me since the very beginning and come for what we fondly call their “MOT” – a preventative, balancing session to keep everything running smoothly. Those sessions are always a joy.

In the last 5–6 years, I’ve noticed a growing rise in stress and pressure on individuals of all ages. Many sessions now include space to talk things through, release emotional load, and reconnect with clarity. Clients often leave feeling grounded, lighter, and calmer, as the work helps shift the nervous system from fight-or-flight back into ease.

Supporting Children and Teenagers

In recent years, more and more children have come through my door – from newborns to teenagers. Children tend to be incredibly open and responsive to Kinesiology. I absolutely love working with them; sessions often unfold in the most honest and surprising ways, with parents watching in amazement as their children open up and reach their own insights.

I also volunteer in a local school, supporting children who are struggling with anxieties around SATs, school camp, or separation at morning drop-off. It’s a privilege to help them build confidence, resilience, and a sense of safety within themselves.

My approach

My intention is always to create a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you’re seeking relief from a particular issue, looking for preventative care, or supporting your child through a tricky time, I’m here to help you reconnect with balance and wellbeing.
